Secret of Lancome
When we were thinking about the subject celebrating the tenth anniversary of
the mascara Hypnose, many things came to our mind. But only one had the right
appeal and justification for us. How else to celebrate the 10-year-old
success of the mascara Hypnose than by a ritual in front of a mirror before
which women are becoming more beautiful? How else to celebrate the success of
the mascara Hypnose than by its reapplication?
The desk mirror Secret of Lancome, which we have created at this occasion,
follows the minimalistic and elegant design of the Lancome brand. However,
the design hides the solution to an everyday problem: "Where is my mascara?“
Women all over the world ask this question several times a day. We are
designers who are not only trying to please the human eye with their
products, but also to improve life and make it more comfortable. For this
reason we have installed a mascara holder behind the mirror which is now
always at hand and yet does not disturb the look into the mirror proper. This
also explains one of the reasons why we named the object "Secret of Lancome".
The holder has been shaped especially for the mascara Hypnose from Lancome
which supplements it by its unique design. The mirror is designated namely
for ladies 5 make-up during which a woman reveals the real secret of Lancome
cosmetics by using the mascara Hypnose. The secret of excellence.
Secret of Lancome is an adequate design object of the interior. The shape
stems from the human eye. It is its abstraction. The circle is a godlike
shape, perfection proper. The mirror silhouette also partially copies the
softness of the Hypnose mascara shape with which it forms an integral pair.
The black contour around the mirror reminds ladies 5 eye line which enhances
and amplifies it. Because the mirror can be turned around its axis and so is
a permanent living element of the interior. In addition, the black frame
prevents it from being damaged. The black colour results from the nature of
the mascara Hypnose and clearly distinguishes the object from its
surroundings as the human eye does by black eyelashes.
